Description

CDA360 Free-Cutting Brass is widely used where components need to be machined accurately and efficiently. Its high machinability rating makes it well suited to automatic screw machine parts, threaded inserts, valve components, plumbing fittings, fasteners, and industrial brass parts.

The alloy offers excellent soldering, good brazing, and fair capacity for hot and cold forming. It is not recommended for most welding methods, making it best suited to machined, threaded, knurled, and formed brass components rather than welded fabrication.

Key Features:

  • Free-cutting brass alloy
  • Machinability rating of 100
  • Excellent for machining, roll threading, and knurling
  • Excellent soldering suitability
  • Good brazing suitability
  • Fair hot forming and cold working capacity
  • Commonly used for rods, bars, shapes, valves, and wire
  • Suitable for fittings, fasteners, valve parts, plumbing goods, and screw machine products
